Player of the Week - Will Houlahan

This week we were playing at home to Chester Town Whites. We were aiming to keep our undefeated run to the season going with another win. It was a hard fought game in terrible conditions which became scrappy at times. We scored first through Alex Bellwood but Chester replied with two goals in quick succession. We were then camped in the opponents half but struggled get the breakthrough as the opposition keeper was in fine form. The breakthrough finally came when Will struck one from the edge of the box that was too powerful for the keeper to keep out. Half time 2-2. The second half was much the same, we had plenty of chances but Chester were causing us problems on the break. We eventually took the lead after a fine run and finish from Will only for Chester to hit back again with two goals, Final score 3-4. Unlucky today boys, we had enough chances to put the game out of site but didn't take them, a hard lesson in football learnt today. Regroup for next week and learn from out mistakes. Player of the Week was Will Houlahan - Two goals, drove us forward, went in to tackles and never gave in.
